Photos: Dogs in Cuba

The Soapbox had the luxury of going on holidays in Cuba last week and couldn’t help but notice dogs were frequent sights most everywhere – and rarely on a leash or confined to a property.  Most, with a few exceptions, seemed calm, content, and well-behaved.  See for yourself.

Okay, so that last one is a cat.

(Photos from Varadero, Havana, and the Bay of Pigs.)

While most of the dogs in Varadero appeared to belong to someone, that did not seem to be the case in Havana.  To learn more about the situation there and how you can help, please visit the Spanky Project.
